Rising boldly yet harmoniously from its small suburban downtown site, the Avalon Films building brings two 50-year-old warehouse/ factory buildings to new life as an avant-garde creative center. We are experts at reinvigorating obsolete buildings with new purpose.
Interiors and exteriors alike convey a rugged yet sophisticated modern function. Concrete and steel are blended with wood floors and generous infusions of natural light. The overall success of the space was achieved through both structural remodeling and minute detail, including the selection of all fixtures and furnishings.
Combining raw strength with warmth, the realized design suggests a combination of warehouse and family rooms, of containment and openness in inviting balance. Avalon Films recycles an old building with new uses—extending its history and teaching us new lessons of a building’s potential.
