The Stand Opens Its Doors
Celebrating a project’s completion is an experience that never gets old for us. We are extremely proud to share the opening of Birmingham’s newest eatery, The Stand Gastro Bistro. While it has only been a few weeks since its opening, The Stand has already been featured in several publications, including the Detroit Free Press which describes it as a “must-go for fall.” We are thrilled to see such success for the restaurant so early on and are proud to have had a hand in its creation.
“Designed by architect Victor Saroki, the main dining room has a quiet, understated elegance with high ceilings, expansive windows softened by sheer curtains, rich neutral colors, white tablecloths and unexpected accents of painted, distressed barn wood to soften the room’s formality.
The wood is judiciously repeated in the bar area, where seating includes a long communal high-top and smaller versions of the dining room’s semi-circular leather booths.
The spacious gleaming kitchen — located across a wide hallway from the bar — is even more open now than when the space was built for the sprawling, multifaceted Zazios, an Italian concept with its riotously colorful décor that closed earlier this year. Those who remember it won’t recognize the place now.”
It has been a pleasure to work on such a fantastic project with great clients and a great team. For further reviews, as well as the full Free Press article, take a look at the links below.
