Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education Visits ICON-GAE

We are excited to announce that ICON, a consortium of Michigan architecture and design firms, has recently been awarded a new 2.8 million-square foot Oil and Gas University project in Iraq. Located outside of Baghdad, the university will focus on educating students in energy research, fuels and lubricants. As part of the ICON team we are proud to be involved in a project that is a major step towards increasing oil efficiency and the growth of higher education in Iraq.

Recently, Iraq’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, his Excellency Ali Al-Adeeb, visited the Detroit area to meet with the ICON team and tour local projects. We had the pleasure of showing the Minister Henry Ford Health System’s new hospital in West Bloomfield Township, Lawrence Technological University in Southfield and the University of Michigan’s campus in Ann Arbor.

We are excited for what the future holds and are looking forward to working with the Minister and our fellow ICON partners.
